  1) What year was the advert produced? A) The advert was produced in 1955. 2) How were women represented in most adverts in the 1950s? Add as much detail to this answer as you can as these are the social, cultural and historical contexts we will need to write about in the exam. A) Women were represented as domestic housewife's. The historical context for this is that after WW2 ended women were taking men jobs so men are trying to make women back to their traditional, domestic maternal stereotypical jobs. 3) How does the heading message ('OMO makes whites bright') and the style of the text promote the product? 1)  The Skittles logo features a playful rainbow with the brand name in a friendly font. Rainbows are associated with a lot of colours and joy. 2) The Unique Selling Point (USP) of Skittles lies in its slogan, "Taste the Rainbow." This slogan shows the variety of flavours offered by Skittles candies. The USP suggests that consumers can experience a diverse and colourful range of tastes in a single pack of Skittle.
